Last November, PBS’s IN THE LIFE joined us on Sweet’s maiden voyage to the Caribbean, and captured hours of footage of Sweet’s lesbian “voluntouristas” who brought positive visibility and a helping hand to local communities in the Caribbean.
It’s proof that the best way to eradicate homophobia is to counter stereotypes with positive gay images that raise awareness and reflect the diversity of our communities.
