We Have To Stop Now

“We Have To Stop Now” is a romantic comedy, now in its second season, that follows two lesbian therapists who are struggling to keep up the pretense of their own marriage after the success of their book “How To Succeed In Marriage Without Even Trying.”

Written by Award-Winning, Internationally Produced Playwright and Actress, Ann Noble, this off-beat love story stars the sexy and dynamic talents of lesbian icons Cathy DeBuono and Jill Bennett. The ultra-sleek, intellectual Dyna (DeBuono) and the quirky, emotional Kit (Bennett) are successful therapists who have just written a best-selling book, “How To Succeed In Marriage Without Even Trying.” But there’s a catch – they’re struggling with their own marriage, and driving their therapist Susan (played by the charming and hilarious Suzanne Westenhoefer) over the edge. To make matters worse, a documentary crew has been sent to capture what makes these two women tick. With Kit’s stoner sister, Cindy, crashing at their place after being evicted, and the documentary crew covering their every move, the stage is set for some interesting times.

Each episode is short, sharp and infused with a wicked sense of humor – We Have To Stop Now is a must see.

Guest Stars Season 1: Maia Madison, Mara Marini, John W. McLaughlin, Catherine O’Connor, Marcus Procto, Darin Singleton and Rob Thelusma.

Guest Stars Season 2: Meredith Baxter, Erin Foley, Nicol Paone, Kate McKinnon, Gloria Bigelow, the cast of Cherrybomb, Doria Biddle, Dani Campbell, Sandra Valls.

“We Have To Stop Now” is a prime example of how lesbians are making their own media now that the “L Word” is off the air. The absence of lesbian characters and story lines in mainstream productions has created an opportunity for talented women to create their own media – bringing fresh, new lesbian-focused content directly to consumers, and finding success online on their own.

“We Have To Stop Now,” a romantic comedy featuring lesbian icons Cathy DeBuono, Jill Bennett and Suzanne Westenhoefer, has found a new home on the web at www.vetostopnow.tv.

The show’s producers recently announced that they are in the final stages of negotiations for the domestic and international distribution of Season One of the series on DVD.
