Sweet

Sweet is a lesbian travel company with a twist. Merging the best of lesbian travel with social and environmental awareness, Sweet aims to make the world a better place while having a blast in it. All of Sweet’s vacations are carbon neutral, meaning we offset the pollution created by our air, land and sea travel. We’re traveling to amazing places with the very best lesbian entertainers and off-the-hook parties, while also supporting our guests’ personal enrichment, raising money for worthwhile causes and doing meaningful projects all over the world.
The newly announced “Live Sweet Voluntour 2010” takes Sweet’s mission of love, laughter and unbridled glee around the country as Sweet leads community service projects, gathers Sweeties for fun fitness events to raise much needed funds, and hosts parties to celebrate lesbian lives. The tour will spread lesbian visibility in the United States and help lesbians across the country connect with one another, make a positive impact in their local communities, and interact with their neighbors – who might someday be called upon to vote on LGBT equal rights.
The Live Sweet tour is expected to run from mid-April to mid-October. Current tour dates include stops in Orlando, FL; New York City, NY; Newark, NJ; and Denver, CO. The public is encouraged to suggest additional community service projects, events and potential tour stops at http://live-sweet.com/

Sweet is a lesbian travel company that’s all about making life as sweet as possible. We travel to amazing places, have tons of fun, and also work to break down big problems – like global warming, pollution, illiteracy and health care – into bite-sized pieces by creating fun and easy opportunities to make a difference in the places we visit. All of Sweet’s vacations are carbon neutral, meaning we offset the pollution created by our air, land and sea travel – and meaning that we were the world’s very first CarbonFree™ cruise. Sweet produces fun events, we raise money and awareness for causes we’re passionate about, and we run our business in a environmentally and socially responsible way. Now that’s Sweet.

Sweet offered its guests the chance to do more than just see the sights during its Caribbean Cruise this past November, they helped make a real difference in the communities they visited. In Costa Maya, Mexico, guests had the opportunity to be a part of a fabulous beach clean up in, and joined in as a team of divers cleaned up a coral reef. In Belize, Sweet volunteers helped create a children’s storytime corner and mini-library in an underprivileged school, and helped brighten the pediatric ward by painting cartoon characters, glow stars and spreading cheer throughout a local hospital’s children’s ward. In Cozumel, volunteers worked side by side with neighbors and members of the rotary club to paint and replant the Carlos Canseco Community Park, and replant trees in the gorgeous Parque Punta Sur Ecological Reserve.
