Babes Around Denver (BAD) is the Denver Metro Area’s premier provider of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) nightlife and events. Through these events, BAD serves as a conduit, and as a resource, for local political, community and charitable organizations. In 2008, BAD hosted it’s 60th First Friday event. In both 2008 and 2009, BAD received a coveted “Best of Denver” award from Denver’s Westword newspaper. First Friday is now the largest monthly party for lesbians in the nation.

Dede Frain, the founder of BAD, has single-handedly created the largest, regular women’s event in the country. Her vision, and her hard work, have created a mecca for women in the West in the unlikeliest of settings.

BAD was founded to create opportunties for the Denver area LGBT community to gather and give back. To date, BAD events have raised thousands of dollars for dozens of local charitable organizations.
